Swimmer Like Mama!

Swimming is my passion and I taught my 3 year old this summer! I actually was sobbing when I saw her swimming under water and floating on her back. She is awesome and I am so proud she is mine!!! She told me, "mom, when I grow up I want to run and swim like you." I love that she enjoys what I enjoy in life. We are buddies and best friends. I love her to death and am so proud of her!

Elka @ 3!

Elka is my little Andrew! She is strong willed, stubborn, driven to the extreme, and a busy bee! She challenges me constantly in everything and wants to tell me how to do everything! She is strong and quite a determined little girl. Andrew is the same way! He is very stubborn and strong willed and so determined. He will not stop until he has completed something perfectly. He is driven and so competitive. He is so proud of Elka and loves that she is just like him. I am also a competitive and driven person in some areas but these two are extremely this way. She has his manners and sleeps exactly like him. She has no fear and will try anything. She saw a little girl swimming without any floatation device and she looked at me and said, "mommy, I am going swim now. No more floaties." She put them in her pool bag and has never used them since. She was walking at 8 1/2 months and running at full speed at 9 months. She saw a little girl going back to the bathroom at my moms daycare and she went back there sat on the toilet on her own and has been potty trained ever since. She was only 16 months old. She absolutely blows my mind. Now this being said, she is no walk in the park. She actually drives me wild!!! But I love her so much and am so proud of her and adore her drive! Just like I adore her daddy! Two peas in a Pod!!!

Baby Liv @ 3 Months

Our Liv is truly a blessing from God! She is so happy and full of life. She smiles all the time and is so content. She has slept through the night since we brought her home. I take her everywhere with me including swimming, to the pool, to the mall, grocery shopping, and more. She is a go with the flow baby! Finally! I get a go with the flow baby!!!! I am a go with the flow baby... still... so easy going and just happy about life. I wanted one of my children to be like this! Liv is a breeze, breath of fresh air and happy! Can you tell we are enjoying her????

Let the Training Begin

So I am preparing myself for a 10 mile run (Buffalo Stampede) in September and a 1/2 Marathon in October. I am on a training program that I have used in the past that is really awesome and has helped me achieve my fitness goals. I have 8 more pounds I want to lose before September to get down to pre pregnancy weight. I am not to worried about that because I know that it will come off if I am training the way I am. Andrew is so wonderful to let me do what I love. I am a little attention deficit so doing this keeps me focused and is almost like therapy. I am swimming 2 days a week and swimming over a mile each workout. I run 3 days a week and one day is an extremely long run. For example Saturday is a 7 mile run. I have one day of a work out class of my choosing and also spend 2 days of my running days doing weights and strength training also. Friday is my only day to rest. Makes me tired just thinking about it! But so much fun. I have friends that I train with and we really enjoy it! My friend Nancy Geweke will be running the 10 mile run with me. I do a 5k next weekend alone. First time running one alone but Andrew will be there to cheer me on! So that is what has been going on in my life besides all the fun we have been having with our little girls. I taught Elka how to swim without any floatation device by spending almost everyday at the pool and practicing. We are going to Tahoe in a couple weeks and get to spend time with Kevin and and more of Andrew's family. We can't wait! Fun Fun Summer!!!
