What we've been up to

Elka at her Easter Party!

Life has been pretty crazy in our world. We finally moved into our house about 2 weeks ago. It has been really tough moving while being so pregnant! If anyone knows me they know that I am a worker bee! I can go and go and just not stop. Reason why I love running so much:) But being this pregnant, uh, not so much! I am not as fast and actually pretty funny to watch. I actually have to sit down and rest while others are working around me. Me rest, does not make sense.... I am a one who loves to get in and get the job done. Not this time! We are finally pretty much settled and the house has been a huge blessing to our family. Our other home was very tiny with no room for us to grow. We now have the room to expand our little Christensen Clan. Also we moved across town, which is really strange. I have always been on the North end. I have to say living down the street from the Racquet Club is a major bonus for me! So yes it has been super busy trying to get the babies room all set up and ready. Speaking of baby, I am ready for her to be here! I am now over 35 weeks. Let the countdown begin! Elka needs a buddy! Elka has been doing great with the whole move. She has had to be very patient while we set up her big girl room and all her toys. She is ready for the Easter bunny! Kids are so much fun. Andrew and I are like to giant kids who love being parents. It is not an easy job, but with all of the training I have been given by my wonderful mother who is an expert, it seems to come pretty natural to me. Thanks mom! Now that I am a mom I have learned to truly appreciate my mom and I see how much love a mother can have for a child and it kind of makes me melt:)

Pregnancy Update

So, just 2 weeks ago I was complaining about how tough this pregnancy was. Well those days are gone! I have been doing so much better and feeling like I could do anything! Well maybe not anything but life is good! I have already scheduled my summer runs (call me crazy) but I just can't let running season go by and me not be apart of it. My first run will be in June and they go on until November when I do my 1/2 marathon. I cannot wait. I am already training (again call me crazy) but I just can't help it. My sister and I are going to do the Nike's woman run in downtown Sacramento. Just a 5k but something to get me going and ready to accomplish some of my fitness goals. I love running partners so if anybody is in need let me know.
We are still in the process of buying a new home so that has consumed our time. We were supposed to be moved in by December but because of all the bank issues these days we are still on hold. Hoping to be moved into the home in 2 weeks. But we will see! We just hope it is before the baby is born! So just to update, we are doing great, pregnancy is going tons better and hopefully we will be in our new home shortly! 8 weeks left!!!!

Our Little Family Fall 2007

Love finding old pictures!!! I am 30 weeks pregnant now and super sentimental! I have dedicated the next couple months to embrace memories! Not something I usually do!!! Pregnancy does things to you....

Our Elka!

I found some old pictures of Elka and it made me realize how time flies!!! She is our baby forever and it is odd to think of her being a big sister. We still see her as our "baby." I know that she will love helping me and her new role as big sister. i am cherishing the last couple of months I have with just her and realizing our little family is going to get a little bigger!

10 weeks left!

Pregnancy has not been a breeze let me tell you. I was sick everyday with Elka throwing up until I delivered. This one is totally different in a more miserable way! I had all the morning sickness I could take up into my 2ND trimester then it stopped. Now I am dealing with being so tired! I have always been the type who just keeps moving and just keeps moving and believes there are no excuses to just stop moving. Well this pregnancy has literally taken my breath away! I had the H1N1 in the beginning, which took me out of work for a month. I am just going to say it and not be embarrassed at all, I have had the horrible and dreadful hemorrhoids! Never have had them and made fun of those who have had them! Well because I am picking up heavy children and my own daughter, I was struck with them!!! I was unable to walk for 2 weeks. I am still trying to get over them. I have a pretty high tolerance with pain, this I could not tolerate. I thought I was going to cry myself to death. So much pain and I could not move! Not to make matters worse my back has been so sore and my legs have been cramping and aching non stop! What a pregnancy! This baby girl is really trying to take me out! Despite my misery, I am waddling my pregnant self to the gym. I work out to keep my sanity. I believe it has helped me regain my strength and start preparing my body to get ready for this baby. I am so excited to be done and enjoy our little girl. Andrew wants four kids! I told him that it may take me another 3 years to try for our 3rd! I love babies and I love being a mom more than anything in the world, but my pregnancies are brutal! I will be praising God when she arrives!

Valentine!

Had the best Valentine's Day in Downtown and Old Town Sac. Beautiful weather and too much walking! We finished up the evening with Disney On Ice. Elka could not wait to see Tinker Bell! She is our favorite!
